 10 класс (углублённое изучение  по учебнику  И.Н.Верещагиной,                   О.В. Афанасьевой

Тема: The World of jobs.

Основные задачи урока: обобщить и систематизировать знания учащихся, полученные по данной теме (лексика, условные предложения Present и Past Subjunctive, косвенная речь) через аудирование, монологическую и диалогическую речь.

Оборудование: аудиозаписи, компьютер, раздаточный материал.

Ход Урока

 1.       Организационный момент. Приветствие гостей Dear Children! I want to introduce you our quests. They are my colleques – English teachers from schools of our district. They are very intelligent, friendly and kind. Don’t be afraid of them. Dear quests! These are my pupils. They are very friendly intelligent and kind. I think you will like them too.  

2.        Основная часть урока                                                                

На компьютере основные понятия темы:

 A job a profession An occupation, A career.

Учащиеся дают толкования этих понятий.

A job – is the work that a person does regularly in order to earn money

A profession – is a job that requires special training, often a university education and brings a rather high social status.

An occupation – is a job or a profession.

A career – is the series of jobs that a person does in his or her life usually in one and the same field.

1.    Беседа в режиме Т=> P1,P2,P3…… с использованием  тематического вокабуляра.

Where can people look for a job?

What kind of jobs can people have?

What prospects can jobs offer?

What can your choice of jobs be influenced by?

Jobs can be attractive and not attractive What qualities make them such?

Different qualities require different things

What do these jobs require? (компьютер проецирует на экран- a doctor , a teacher, a model, a computer operator)

Who and what can help you to make your choice?

What are the most popular and important jobs at the turn of the century?

Учащиеся продолжают беседу в режиме P1=>P2 P3=>P4

2.    Компьютерная презентация результатов опроса мнений учащихся о выборе профессий и карьеры.

Now, let’s see the results of the opinion poll about the careers your peers are going to choose. The school children were asked the following questions.

Give three the most popular jobs?

Why is this or that job prestigeous?

Do you know anything about this job?

Who can advise you about your future job?

What is better: to have a well – paid but not interesting job or to have a very interesting but badly – paid job?

3.    Работа в группах. Учащиеся делятся на три группы.                                      1 группа получает задание: Prove that it is better to have a well – paid, but not an interesting job.

2 группа – Prove that it is better to have an interesting though badly paid job.

3 группа – Ask our quests their opinion about these statements and if they had a chance to choose another  profession what  they would do.

Учащиеся работают в группе , затем по одному представителю от группы представляют рассказ – доказательство. Учащиеся третьей группы после проведения опроса гостей в косвенной речи передают их мнение по проблеме.

4.    Работа с коротким тестом о выборе профессии. В тексте пропущены глаголы do, make.

Задание – подберите подходящий  по смыслу глагол и используйте его в правильной форме. После выполнения учащиеся обмениваются текстами и по ответам , выведенным  компьютером на доску проверяют и выставляют оценки:

15 плюсов – 5

14,13,12,11 – 4

10 -7  - 3

меньше 7 – 2

It will (1 )….a young person good if he or she(2)….. a decision about  his/her future career before leaving school. Choosing a career is not simple. While (3)….. your choice you should think about  your talents, what subjects you like (4) …..,in what field you have already (5)…… progress, whether you like(6)….. things with your hands or prefer to work with your brains.  In order not to (7)…. a mistake you shouldn’t think only of how to (8)…. money in future. If you want to (9) …..well in the chosen field you should be  greatly interested in what you are(10)……. You should(11)…. some efforts to achieve success. (12)…your best to become a really good specialist and you will(13)…. a fortune in the end, at least by (14)….a lot of friends.  So (15)…..yourself a favour.

5. Развитие умений и навыков монологического высказывания.

На столе разложены карточки с информацией о людях ( синяя метка- мужчины, красная метка- женщины). Прочитайте вслух информацию и посоветуйте какую профессию выбрать. Например-

Name : Mike

Surname :   Peterson

Qualification and experience:    I am quite a good driver. I have a driving license. I have been driving for two years.

Preferences:   I am not sure that I want to go to university. I like working with machines but I don”t mind working with people.

Other information:  My hobby is taking pictures. I like giving pictures to my friends as presents.

6.Развитие умений и навыков диалогической речи.

На столе разложены полоски бумаги. На каждой написана одна реплика . Например:

-       I like working with machines. Would you like to go to university?

-       It might be a good idea to try yourself in the profession of a shop-assistant

-       If I were you I would go to university after leaving school

Учащиеся, передвигаясь по классу,ищут партнёра по диалогу (совпадение реплики-вопроса и реплики- ответа) и развивают данный микродиалог до диалога 8-10 реплик.

7. Заключительный этап урока. Комментарии по работе учащихся .Выставление оценок.
